I really enjoyed this book! The writing is very well done--witty and charming while still being informative. What I particularly enjoyed is how the author incorporates very human elements throughout history and how these things shaped what luxury truly means. I also liked how the author exposes certain aspects of the fashion and luxury industry that are downright predatory--and how the educated, informed, and grounded consumer can successfully avoid falling prey to such circumstances. Definitely recommend this book!
